- With this class we enter "media"
- This is less about putting your images online/printing...more about sharing/community
- Remember ALL this stuff is all about how it works together
- using media, using feeds, getting info to folks/from folks in different ways, engaging different learning styles
- Flickr
- Account examples: Teddy | librarysteve (steve367)
- Note: account login/name doesn't have to be the same as URL (but once you set the URL, you can't go back)
- Unless you specify otherwise all photos are Public (all photos can be changed/default can be changed)
- Don't forget tags and creative commons
- Searching/Viewing/exploring images on Flickr
- images must be <5mb, 100mb per month upload, inactive for 90days = bye, only 200 photos show, any 1 photo in 10 groups

sg - Your area...
ks - Book Displays in Libraries Flickr Pool (share/steal great display ideas)
ks - Flickr photo and community reaction to a (warning:very SAD) post about the lost of a pet w/ 59 comments. Good example of flickr community though.
elw - Kelli, thank you for sharing that (and for the warning). It surely brought me to tears, but what a wonderful way to share happy memories, and the support of the Flickr community must've been so powerful. I'm bookmarking this one.
ks- a lot of the people who commented are in the library world. Can also serve as a way to discover their flickr accounts, which often include images from presentations they give, or libraries they visit, or just great photos.
lh- Thank you, Kelli, for your links. My dog, Shep, was put to sleep the same way as Jake. We all miss him dreadfully. Even as I write this my eyes fill up with tears.
nd - I just found this cool flickr related tag browser so I thought I'd pass it on.
