I am currently a first grade teacher and have been teaching for almost 20 years. I decided it was time to make a career change and chose to get my MLIS from Rutgers. I hope to graduate in May and become a children's librarian in a public library.
When I'm not at school...or at school (Rutgers), I enjoy spending time with my dog Mackenzie. I adopted her from the shelter about 5 years ago and she still has some "issues" from living with her previous owners. We are currently trying to work through them. Progress is slow but steady!
I also enjoy sitting in front of the tv and watching anything on TLC, HGTV, The Food Network, or Animal Planet. I tend to be a reality tv junkie. I love to cook, but hate to clean up. When I'm not in front of the tv, I can often be found on the computer IMing my sisters.
I'm very excited to learn about the concepts we will be discussing in this class. I'm not familiar with many of them, other than chat and IM, and think they will be very valuable in my search for a new job.
